Getting to know Karen Rohrer!

Hello
all! My name is Karen Rohrer and I am
the newest edition to the Community Presbyterian team. I am a second year
student at Princeton Theological Seminary.
So far I love being
in the seminary community, love being in this church community, and am still
struggling with New Jersey’s jughandle/no
left turn policy.
I was born and raised
in Richmond, VA by two fabulous parents whom I hope you
all will one day meet. I went to college in a town called Fredericksburg, about an hour south of DC at the University of Mary Washington. I majored in
English and Religion and had a great experience being a part of a local
Presbyterian church.
Through my studies
and through spending time in the church, I sensed a call to ministry and have
found myself here (something I am very grateful for!). I’m excited for my
time at Community Presbyterian as it is a dynamic, welcoming, thoughtful
community and it is well led and well loved. I will be working in many
different areas and am excited to be one of the Sunday school teachers for 2nd-6th
grade and one of the children’s chat leaders, as well as learning much,
preaching some, and assisting in worship.
I want to thank you all for
working with me and learning with me as I begin to actualize my call to
ministry.
