We are Immersed in Outreach, Just as We should Be!

Tuesday, November 24, 2009 - 20:59 - cpcadmin

Our congregation, generous in so many ways, is supporting many initiatives during this season:

We are supporting two families in South Brunswick Township this Christmas via our “Giving Tree” and generous congregation. We will wrap the gifts at the Christmas pot-luck on December 13.

  • The Sunday School kids sent “care” packages to our college students letting them know that we think of them and wish them well in their studies and for the holidays. They included notes of greeting with the packages.

  • Operation Christmas Child, aka Shoeboxes for Kids, was done by our Sunday School children and Pre-school children.

  • We will take the children and youth, as well as the choir, to Franklin Care Center on December 6. We’re hoping this will evolve into a great Christmas celebration and we know the residents will be blessed by the kids’ involvement.

  • We will collect “Holiday Meal Items” for the South Brunswick Food Pantry on December 6.

  • We will take the Christmas Joy offering on December 20.

  • We will distribute “Grocery Bag Reminders” for 2010 on December 20.

  • Feed the Children had an incredible turn-out for the November packing effort.

  • We collected the 2 cents-a-meal offering on November 22.

When Jesus said to “love others as yourself,” the people in the Sand Hills church family respond to that challenge.

Thank you, as always, for your generosity.
