Pentecost Series

"The Comforter Has Come" is the title of the upcoming four-week Sermon Series. This series will end on Pentecost Sunday, June 9th.

Big Idea of the Series: This four-week series examines the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the believers and challenges our faith to use this gift. What did Jesus promise us about the Spirit? How did the early church demonstrate the truth of those promises? In what ways are we using the Spirit that God has poured out?

Week 1
Sermon Title: "Courageous and Loving"
Text: Acts 2:1–21; 2 Timothy 1:7
Topic(s): Courageous Faith, Evangelism, Power, Love
Big Idea of the Message: The Holy Spirit makes us courageous, loving, and measured in our evangelism.
Application Point: No matter the circumstances, you don’t have to be afraid; the Holy Spirit is with you.

Week 2
Sermon Title: "Faithful Witness"
Text: Acts 2:22–41; John 14:25–26; 16:12–15  Topic(s): Bible Study, Devotions, Communication, Teaching
Big Idea of the Message: God’s Spirit teaches and confirms God’s truth.
Application Point: You don’t have to have a doctorate in theology to effectively explain the Scriptures to someone.

Week 3
Sermon Title: "Praying Spirit"
Text: Acts 4:23–31; Romans 8:26–27
Topic(s): Prayer, Perseverance, Faith
Big Idea of the Message: God’s Spirit helps us pray—and prays for us.
Application Point: Even if you don’t know what to pray, God’s Spirit is praying on your behalf. 

Week 4
Sermon Title: "Spirit's Encouragement"
Text: Acts 9:31; John 14:16–18
Topic(s): Comfort, Guidance, Encouragement Big Idea of the Message: God’s Spirit encourages us during hard times.   Application Point: Even during your darkest seasons of life, you are not alone nor forgotten.
